Go Back Up

Overview

The Adventure DTS is designed for people who love the outdoors. This will be a journey that takes you further than you have ever gone before and makes you experience the world in a way you would have never imagined. During this season, you will develop a long-lasting and intimate relationship with God. What better place to get to know the God of the universe than in His beautiful creation? We just so happen to be conveniently located in the stunning Colorado Rockies :) Adventure is something that will never be lacking in these incredible 6 months of your life. This DTS will not only include epic expeditions, but it’s also about enjoying the adventure of following after Jesus and seeking first His Kingdom. We need people who are willing to be ignited by God and sent to spread His fire. Are you willing to climb the highest mountains to go the furthest distance for Him?

Lecture Phase

For the first half of the school, students participate in lectures with a range of topics from speakers from around the world. Some of these lecture weeks will be at our base in Colorado Springs and others will be outdoors! Our speakers will come with us and we’ll have a classroom on the trail while doing some incredible adventures! We will be engaging with God while participating in physical activities such as hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, white water rafting, camping, and other awesome outdoor endeavors. The adventure activities we will do are a great opportunity to grow in your trust, faith, and dependency on God. God gave us this passion for the outdoors so let’s learn how to invite Him into the adventures we love going on. Why not worship God in creation?

OUTREACH PHASE

The remaining months will be spent overseas reflecting on Jesus’ call to ‘GO’. Every student is prayerfully split up into teams to be sent to the nations. It’s a great opportunity to explore and apply all they have learned in the lecture phase. After coming to know God more, outreach is about making God known. There are people who have never heard the name of Jesus because they are geographically inaccessible unless we’re willing to adventure. Let’s use the skills God gave us as an opportunity to reach the least, the last, and the lost. We want the unreached to become reached. We’re going to the hardest and darkest. How far will you go for the one?
